Leith Walk Submitted

Manson have submitted a planning application for 230 purpose-built student bedspaces, and 54 flatted dwelling on the land east of 139 Leith Walk, Edinburgh. CA Ventures and CW Properties instructed Manson to prepare the application, and shortly after, the site was selected by City of Edinburgh Council as part of a Place Brief Masterplan (Leith Walk / Halmyre Street). 

Manson assisted with the preparation of the Place Brief and worked collaboratively with the Place Brief stakeholders before submitting a detailed planning application in April 2022. 

The Place Brief includes two adjacent sites in addition to the application site and will eventually deliver a housing-led mixed use masterplan at the bottom of Leith Walk. 

The application includes a 50% affordable housing provision and a strong focus on low car ownership and usage. The new tram route to Granton will run immediately adjacent to the site and will make it extremely accessible and connected.
