NEW MART ROAD \ Edinburgh

Mixed Use, Residential

Recreating and enlivening an urban village which positively integrates with existing heritage buildings

Historically the site was known as the ‘New Markets’ and was a hub for Livestock to be gathered, auctioned, and then sold within a series of buildings.

Manson’s proposals set to creatively reuse and adapt the existing Livestock buildings, integrating them with the design of new residential buildings which complement the character and juxtaposition of the previous agricultural uses.

The site is situated in Chesser in the West of Edinburgh, with excellent active travel and transport links within very close proximity to the development.

Manson have worked closely with Harrison Stevens landscape architects to create a new vibrant series of interlinked spaces which reinterpret the materials, form and scale of the historic agricultural buildings.
